It’s a quiet Sunday afternoon in Room 714. Mitch, Dustin, and their girlfriends and I are sitting with Mike watching the Bears game. He slept most of the morning and seems to be staying awake for some of the game. The nurse held off on his IV pain meds and gave him an oral pill hoping he would stay awake long enough to watch it. He’s trying but it’s been difficult. I sure wish he could get rid of this back pain.

We had awesome meatloaf and mashed potatoes….thanx to everyone for ALL of our delicious meals. They’ve all been wonderful and much better than the expensive cafeteria food! We really do appreciate each and every one of you!
